For the first time in its almost two-year existence, the WFJ is taking a break.
Various developments, or lack thereof, had urged me to consider it. Perhaps chief among them the slow creep of burnout, instigated from dedicating two days of every week to this newsletter since January 2022. Doing so as a one-man operation was always going to have that susceptibility.
I need some time to think. Some time to adapt. What the outcome might look like is down to a decision based on how much the publication currently receives from its paid subscribers (who we can continue to thank for the WFJ’s continuation up til now and after its intermission); what those subscribers – and the engaged free ones – want to see more of (if you’re one of them, either drop me an email, or post a comment for discussion below); and what I want to write.
For paid subscribers, more detail is to follow. For everyone else, I’ll be back in your inbox, with either new content or an update, in the new year.
