With two local casualties this year, the worst may be yet to come for neighbourhood fish & chip shops

Are Frome’s chippies in danger of dying out?

If this year is anything to go by, things aren't looking too rosy. In July, scampi fries slingers Hesperian took its last orders, while in August, Barnacle Bill’s ceased trading after nine years. 

That leaves six fish and chip shops left…
